Nenufares are aquatic plants, one family of which is the Nymphaeaceae, and one member within it is the Blue Lotus, which is the basis for the fragrance. This flower was sacred for ancient Egyptians and was reserved for the Pharaohs.
This formula dates to 50 B.C., and was used by Cleopatra to enthrall the most powerful men at the time Marc Antony and Julius Caesar. It is a soft floral aquatic, utilizing head-space blue lotus, accented by nutmeg, angelica, and almond.
